English Language Proficiency Requirement

Students whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English. To be admitted to a certificate or diploma program at Pures College of Technology as an international student, proof of completion of one of the following must be provided, as follows:

IELTS:

For the Early Childhood Education program, a minimum overall score of 6.5 is required

The Supply Chain Management program requires a minimum overall score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.5.

All other programs require a minimum overall score of 6.0.

TOEFL:

A score of 500 paper-based or 70-IBT

CAEL:

Minimum overall score of 56

Language Proficiency Test Exemptions

Pures College may exempt international students from the TOEFL/IELTS requirements in the following situations:

Students who have completed a minimum of two years of full-time secondary or college-level education in one of the countries where English is an official or the only language of common usage (please check with the College to see if your country qualifies for the ESL exemption).

Students who are present in Canada at the time of application, and complete a written and oral test on campus, and achieve a passing score on the entrance test for the program they are applying for.

Application Process in Northern College at Pures-Toronto for International Students

The application process for international students at Northern College at Pures-Toronto is straightforward and requires several important documents to be submitted.

Once you've checked the Admissions Requirements and chosen your program, don't wait! Applying early is a must because the admissions and immigration process can be quite lengthy, sometimes taking several months.

After obtaining all required documents, students are advised to fill out and submit the study abroad application form along with other required documents. This includes the college application form, official proof of English proficiency, a copy of their passport, academic transcripts (in English), and the non-refundable application fee.

Pures College of Technology will send a Letter of Acceptance and Enrolment Contract to applicants who meet the admission requirements after processing the application form.

It is important to sign both the Letter of Acceptance and the Enrolment Contract and return both documents along with the tuition deposit indicated in the letter.

You can apply for a Study Permit by taking the Letter of Acceptance and the tuition receipt to the nearest Canadian Consulate Office.

Once you receive the study permit, inform Pures College immediately and send them a copy of the study permit.

Before arriving in Canada, students must make the necessary arrangements for accommodation and prepare for their studies.
